Dr. Ronnie L. Brown, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Ronnie L. Brown, a native of Lebanon, VA, is a 1969 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia. After graduation, he completed a rotating internship program at Madigan Army Medical Center in McChord, Washington. Dr. Brown went on to serve his country in the Army Dental Corp, earning the rank of Major and was stationed in Germany for 4 years before coming back to the states and beginning his private practice in January of 1974. He has a great passion for dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and is working on his Diplomate status, the Virginia Dental Association, where he served on the executive council, and a member and past president of the Southwest Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Brown has been nominated and accepted into the International College of Dentists. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, camping, fishing and hunting in the great west every fall. Dr. Brown and his wife, Jeannie, enjoy spending time with their 6 daughters, 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Dr. Bob L. Brown, DDS

Dr. Bob L. Brown, a native of Lebanon, VA, received a pharmacy degree from the Medical College of Virginia in June 1970 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in May 1974. He spent the summer of 1974 working as a pharmacist in Nome, Alaska and returned to Abingdon to practice dentistry that fall. Dr. Brown is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Southwest Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Brown tried to retire in July of 2014, however, after a short period of time, he decided to come back to work. Like his brother Ronnie, he is an avid outdoorsman and spends a big part of his free time hiking in the mountains of Southwest Virginia with his four legged children, Sadie, Robert Lee, Gage and Scruffy. Dr. Brown and his wife, Donna enjoy traveling to the wild, wild, west every fall.
Dr. Monica L. Clisso, DDS

Dr. Monica Clisso is a native of Wise County. She obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002. She received the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, Community Dentistry, and Dental Public Health Award. Dr. Clisso is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Southwest Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Clisso and her husband, Danny enjoy spending time with their three children and rescued cats.
Dr. Frank Morris, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Frank W. Morris is a native of Abingdon, VA and graduated from Abingdon High School in 2016. He went on to Blacksburg, VA and graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Biology in 2020. Following that, he went on to VCU Dental School and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2024.He and his wife, Natalie, are excited to return to the area and call Abingdon home again. Dr. Morris enjoys spending his free time playing golf, riding the creeper trail, and going to Virginia Tech sporting events. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Southwest Virginia Dental Association.
Dr. Christopher W. Thurston, DDS

Dr. Christopher W. Thurston is a native of Tazewell County. He obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University where he also received the Dr. Hugh B. Douglas, Jr. award for excellence in Prosthodontics. Dr. Thurston is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and is working on his Diplomate status, the International Academy of Sleep, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association. Like the Brown brothers, he enjoys camping, fishing, hiking and hunting. Dr. Thurston and his wife, Virginia enjoy spending time with their four legged children, Lilly, Ricky, Gertie, Georgie and John Quincy.
Dr. Tyler J. Toney, DDS

Dr. Tyler J. Toney is a native of Forest City, NC. In 2007, he graduated from Campbell University located in Buies Creek, NC with a degree in Biology and Chemistry, receiving the faculty award for Excellence in Biology. He obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012. He started his dental career in North Carolina in 2012, and we were fortunate enough to have him join our team in January 2014. Dr. Toney is primarily at our Glade location, however, he works in the Abingdon location as needed. Dr. Toney is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Southwest Virginia Dental Society. He has completed numerous continuing education courses in implant and restorative dentistry. Dr. Toney enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa and their children.
